Yahya related to me from Malik from a reliable source from Sulayman ibn Yasar and from Busr ibn Said that the Messenger of Allah, (ﷺ), said, "On land that is watered by rain or springs or any natural means there is (zakat to pay of) a tenth

the Messenger of Allah said: "For what is watered by the heavens and steams, the Ushr is due, and for what is watered by irrigation, half of the Ushr."

the Messenger of Allah instituted the Ushr of what was watered by the heavens and steams, or through natural channels, and half of the Ushr for what is watered by irrigation.

"For whatever is irrigated by the sky, rivers and springs, or draws up water from deep roots, one-tenth. For whatever is irrigated by animals and artificial means, one half of one-tenth."

"The Messenger of Allah said:'For that which is watered by the sky, rivers and springs, one-tenth. For whatever is irrigated by animals, one-half of one-tenth."'

the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “For crops that are irrigated by the sky (i.e. rain) and springs, one-tenth. For those that are irrigated by watering, one half of one-tenth.”

“A tithe is due as Zakah, on every plant watered by heaven (rain water), springs, or underground water (i.e. watered without effort).While half a tithe is paid on what is watered by irrigation (i.e. machines are used).” Related by Al-Bukhar
