حفص بن ميسرة العقيلي، أبو عمر الصنعاني، سكن عسقلان. قال أحمد، والبخاري، والنسائي: إنه من صنعاء الشام. وقال أبو حاتم: إنه من صنعاء اليمن. قال أبو القاسم: وهو أشبه. روى عن: زيد بن أسلم، وموسى بن عقبة، وهشام بن عروة، وسهيل بن أبي صالح، والعلاء بن عبد الرحمن، وغيرهم. وعنه: عمرو بن أبي سلمة التنيسي، وابن…▸ expand full passage (1,160 chars)حفص بن ميسرة العقيلي، أبو عمر الصنعاني، سكن عسقلان. قال أحمد، والبخاري، والنسائي: إنه من صنعاء الشام. وقال أبو حاتم: إنه من صنعاء اليمن. قال أبو القاسم: وهو أشبه. روى عن: زيد بن أسلم، وموسى بن عقبة، وهشام بن عروة، وسهيل بن أبي صالح، والعلاء بن عبد الرحمن، وغيرهم. وعنه: عمرو بن أبي سلمة التنيسي، وابن وهب، والهيثم بن خارجة، وآدم بن أبي إياس، وسعيد بن منصور، وسويد بن سعيد، وغيرهم. وروى عنه الثوري وهو أكبر منه. قال عبد الله بن أحمد: قال أبي: ليس به بأس. قلت: إنهم يقولون: عرض على زيد بن أسلم؟ فقال: ثقة. وقال ابن معين: ثقة، إنما يطعن عليه أنه عرض. وقال أيضا: قد روى الثوري عن أبي عمر الصنعاني، وهو حفص بن ميسرة. وقال مرة: ليس به بأس. وقال أبو زرعة: لا بأس به. وقال أبو حاتم: صالح الحديث. وقال في موضع آخر: يكتب حديثه، ومحله الصدق، وفي حديثه بعض الوهم. وقال يعقوب بن سفيان: ثقة لا بأس به. قال أحمد، وابن يونس، وغيرهما: توفي سنة (١٨١). قلت: وكونه من صنعاء الشام عليه الأكثر كالفلاس، ومحمد بن المثنى، ويعقوب بن سفيان، وغيرهم، وصنيع أبي داود يدل على أنه عنده من صنعاء اليمن. قال الآجري، عن أبي داود: يضعف في السماع. وذكره ابن حبان في الثقات. وقال الساجي: في حديثه ضعف. وقال الأزدي: روى عن العلاء مناكير يتكلمون فيه. وقرأت بخط الذهبي: لا يلتفت إلى قول الأزدي. • د -
