حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُصَفَّى الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرَ، عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْمَعَافِرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ، عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ تَوَضَّأَ فَخَلَّلَ أَصَابِعَ رِجْلَيْهِ بِخِنْصِرِهِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا خَازِمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ ‏.‏

English translation

It was narrated that Mustawarid bin Shaddad said:

"I saw the Messenger of Allah performing ablution, and he ran his little finger between his toes." (Sahih) Another chain with similar wording.

‏ إِذَا قُمْتَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَأَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ وَاجْعَلِ الْمَاءَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِ يَدَيْكَ وَرِجْلَيْكَ ‏

English translation

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:

'The Messenger of Allah said: 'When you get up for prayer, perform ablution properly and make the water run between your toes and your fingers.'"

‏ أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ وَخَلِّلْ بَيْنَ الأَصَابِعِ ‏

English translation

'Asim bin Laqit bin Saabirah narrated that his father said:

"The Messenger of Allah said: perform ablution properly and let the water run between your fingers."

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَانَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ حَرَّكَ خَاتَمَهُ ‏.‏

English translation

'Ubaidullah bin Abu Rafi' narrated from his father that:

Whenever the Messenger of Allah performed ablution, he moved his ring.
