The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When you see a funeral procession, you should stand up, and whoever accompanies it should not sit till the coffin is put down."

A funeral procession passed in front of us and the Prophet (ﷺ) stood up and we too stood up. We said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ! This is the funeral procession of a Jew." He said, "Whenever you see a funeral procession, you should stand up.

Whenever you see a funeral procession, stand up for that until it moves away or is lowered on the ground.

Whenever you come across a bier you should stand up, and he who follows it should not sit down till it is placed on the ground.

The Messenger of Allah said: "Whenever you see a funeral (procession), stand up until it goes ahead of you or it is put down."

The Messenger of Allah said: "Whenever you see a funeral (procession), stand up (for it). Whoever follows it, then do not sit down until it is put down."
