حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏

‏ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعِيدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ‏

‏ ‏.‏ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَ هَذَا وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ الأَوَّلِ ‏.‏

English translation

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf:

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise, 'Uthman is in Paradise, 'Ali is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, Az-Zubair is in Paradise, 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf is in Paradise, Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, Sa'eed bin Zaid is in Paradise, and Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah is in Paradise."

‏ عَشَرَةٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَطَلْحَةُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ وَسَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ‏

‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَعَدَّ هَؤُلاَءِ التِّسْعَةَ وَسَكَتَ عَنِ الْعَاشِرِ فَقَالَ الْقَوْمُ نَنْشُدُكَ اللَّهَ يَا أَبَا الأَعْوَرِ مَنِ الْعَاشِرُ قَالَ نَشَدْتُمُونِي بِاللَّهِ أَبُو الأَعْوَرِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ‏.‏أَبُو الأَعْوَرِ هُوَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ ‏.‏ وَسَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدًا يَقُولُ هُوَ أَصَحُّ مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ الأَوَّلِ ‏.‏

English translation

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Humaid:

from his father, that Sa'eed bin Zaid reported to him, while in a group of people, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Ten are in Paradise: Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise. 'Ali and 'Uthman are in Paradise. Az-Zubair and Talhah, 'Abdur-Rahman, Abu 'Ubaidah and Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas" - He said: "So he counted these nine and was silent concerning the tenth - so the people said: 'We implore you by Allah, O Abu Al-A'war, who is the tenth?' He said: 'You have implored me by Allah. Abu Al-A'war is in Paradise.'" [Abu 'Eisa] said: [Abu Al-A'war] he is Sa'eed bin Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail. I heard Muhammad saying: "It is more correct than the first Hadith."

‏ إِنَّ أَمْرَكُنَّ مِمَّا يُهِمُّنِي بَعْدِي وَلَنْ يَصْبِرَ عَلَيْكُنَّ إِلاَّ الصَّابِرُونَ ‏

‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ ثُمَّ تَقُولُ عَائِشَةُ فَسَقَى اللَّهُ أَبَاكَ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ ‏.‏ تُرِيدُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ وَقَدْ كَانَ وَصَلَ أَزْوَاجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَالٍ يقالُ بِيعَتْ بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفًا ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏

English translation

Narrated Abu Salamah:

from 'Aishah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say: "Indeed your affair [feminine plural: referring to the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ)] is from that which concerns me after me, and none shall be able to be patient concerning you except the patient ones." He said: "Then 'Aishah said: 'So may Allah give your father drink from the Salsabil of Paradise" intending 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf (Abu Salamah is the son of 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf). And he had maintained ties with the wives of the Prophet (ﷺ) with property that had been sold for forty-thousand.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبِ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَيْشُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ، أَوْصَى بِحَدِيقَةٍ لأُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِيعَتْ بِأَرْبَعِ مِئَةِ أَلْفٍ ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏

English translation

Narrated Abu Salamah:

that 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf left a garden for the Mothers of the Believers that was sold for four-hundred thousand.
