sahih· Al-AlbaniNarrated Fadalah ibn Ubayd:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Everyone who dies will have fully complete his action, except one who is on the frontier (in Allah's path), for his deeds will be made to go on increasing till the Day of Resurrection, and he will be safe from the trial in the grave.

Guarding (Ribat) in the cause of Allah and protecting the lands of Islam are among the greatest deeds whose reward continues. In this Hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: "The deeds of every deceased are sealed," meaning: the records of all the dead are closed, and no deeds are recorded for them after their death, "except for the one who guards (Murabet)," meaning: the defender of the borders and frontiers of the Muslims. The reward of his deeds increases and "grows," meaning: it multiplies, "until the Day of Resurrection," meaning: even after his death, "and he is protected from the trial of the grave (Fitnat Al-Qabr)," meaning: from the questioning by Munkar and Nakir — the two angels who question the deceased in the grave. He is protected from the trial of their questioning. It is said that the intended meaning may be that the two angels do not approach him or test him. His death while serving as a guardian for the cause of Allah is sufficient testimony to the strength of his faith. Alternatively, it is also possible that the angels do approach him, but they do not harm him, and their presence does not lead to a trial..
