I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "The good deeds of any person will not make him enter Paradise." (i.e., None can enter Paradise through his good deeds.) They (the Prophet's companions) said, 'Not even you, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?'

There is none whose deeds alone would entitle him to get into Paradise. It was said to him: And, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that my Lord wraps me in Mercy.

None amongst you can get. into Paradise by virtue of his deeds alone. They said: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) , not even you? Thereupon he said: Not even I, but that Allah should wrap me in His Grace and Mercy.
