Chapter 9.0

The characteristics of the gates of Paradise

بَابُ صِفَةِ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ

وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجَيْنِ دُعِيَ مِنْ بَابُ الْجَنَّةِ». فِيهِ عُبَادَةُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

‏ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ثَمَانِيَةُ أَبْوَابٍ، فِيهَا باب يُسَمَّى الرَّيَّانَ لاَ يَدْخُلُهُ إِلاَّ الصَّائِمُونَ ‏

English translation

Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Paradise has eight gates, and one of them is called Ar-Raiyan through which none will enter but those who observe fasting."
