    عبد الرحمان بن محمد الشامي وفي الساعة السابعة من صباح يوم الأربعاء رابع صفر الخير توفي عبد الرحمان بن الفقيه المحتسب محمد بن محمد الشامي الخزرجي، فرضّي فاس الجديد، الفقيه المشارك الخيّر الذاكر المتبتل، آخر تلامذة الشيخ الغياتي المتوفى عام ثمانية عشر وثلاثمائة وألف موتا. تقدمت وفاة والده عام ثلاثين وثلاثمائة وألف. كان فرضيّا بفاس الجديد لأكثر من أربعين سنة، دائم الذكر والعبادة، محافظا على أوقاته، لم يترك ولدا ذكرا ولا أنثى. دفن بروضتهم بالقباب. له ترجمة في سل النصال مع صورته.
