محمد بن العربي بنّونة في يوم الجمعة ثاني صفر توفي محمد-فتحا-بن الحاج العربي بنونة التطواني فجأة بمدينة سلا، أتي إلى الرباط لأجل صلة الرحم مع أولاد أخيه، وحمل إلى مدينة تطوان ودفن من غده. تقدمت وفاة أخيه الحاج عبد السلام عام أربعة وخمسين وثلاثمائة وألف. الأديب المشارك العلامة المطلع الكاتب المقتدر، المخلص المدافع عن وطنه من نشأته بقوته وماله. له عدة مقالات في الصحف والمجلات وبعض التآليف في موضوع الإصلاح، وله صورة في أول كتاب تاريخ تطوان للشيخ محمد داوود، لأنه كان ممن أشار عليه بجمعة.
