    أحمد ابن الصدّيق الغماري وفي يوم الأحد فاتح جمادى الثانية توفي أحمد بن محمد بن الصديق الغماري الحسني نزيل مدينة طنجة. تقدمت وفاة والده عام أربعة وخمسين وثلاثمائة وألف، العلامة الحافظ المشارك المحدث المطلع المؤلف الشهير، من آخر من أتقن علم الحديث نصّا وإسنادا. ألف تآليف عديدة في مواضيع مختلفة من علم الحديث وغيره، وهي مفيدة طبع البعض منها. توفي بمصر القاهرة مبعدا عن بلده لأنه كان من المضطهدين في مسقط رأسه طنجة، وحكم عليه بالنفي مدة. تجد ذلك مفصلا في كتاب سل النصال. وقد ألف في ترجمته أحد تلاميذه كتابا طبع أخيرا في سفر وسط.
