    محمد ابن إبراهيم شاعر الحمراء وفي سابع وعشري محرم توفي محمد بن إبراهيم المراكشي شاعر الحمراء بمدينة مراكش محل سكناه، الشاعر المبدع البلبل الصداح المجمع على حسن أسلوبه ومقدرته وبديهته. ذكر في ترجمته التي كان كتبها بنفسه أن من جملة دواوينه معارضة لزوم ما لا يلزم للمعري. وذكر لي ﵀ أنه جمع ديوانا من القصائد الصغيرة ليطبع بالدار البيضاء ولكن ذلك لم يتم له. توفي فجأة بسكتة قلبية أصابته بسكناه في رياض الزيتون من مراكش. كانت ولادته عام ثمانية عشر وثلاثمائة وألف. أنشدني ﵀ وأنا مارّ معه بحومة الدرج بفاس ارتجالا بيتين يتغزل فيهما بأمرد يدعى إدريس.
