    عمر بن حمدان التونسي في ثامن شوال عامه بلغنا من الحجاز نبأ وفاة عمر بن حمدان التونسي، هذا الشيخ كان زار المغرب ودخل فاسا ونزل بزاوية الكتانيين بأعلى القطانيين واحتفل به علماء المجلس العلمي، ألقى عدة دروس بالقرويين وبالزاوية الكتانية، حضرت البعض منها واستفدت، وذلك سنة أربعين وثلاثمائة وألف، وهو الذي صلى على الشيخ الجليل أحمد بن جعفر الكتاني بالضريح الإدريسي (ذكر ذلك محمد بن جعفر الكتاني في كتابه النبذة اليسيرة النافعة الجزء الثاني، في ترجمة أخيه أحمد المذكور) له ترجمة في سل النصال.
