    علي بن الطيب الدرقاوي وفي عشية يوم الاثنين خامس قعدة توفي علي بن الشيخ الطيب بن الشيخ العربي الدرقاوي الحسني، العلامة المشارك المطلع المستحضر المدرس العامل بعمله، محيى السنة ومميت البدعة بأقواله وأفعاله. كان ﵀ يمثل هدي السلف الصالح. أدخل إلى النظام القروي من أهل الطبقة الأولى وبقي يعدّ من أفراده إلى أن توفي. وفي آخر عمره ذهب من فاس إلى زاوية أسلافه ببني زروال وبها توفي ودفن قرب أبيه. كان رحمة الله لا يريد الدفن بفاس. له ترجمة واسعة في سل النصال مع صورته.
