محمد بن إدريس ابن فرتون في ربيع الأول توفي محمد بن إدريس المعروف بابن فرتون السلمي الفاسي أصلا نزيل مدينة الجديدة، علامة مطلع مشارك. توفي في شبابه، له الجواهر اللؤلؤية في التعريف بواسطة عقد الشعبة العراقية الحسينية، عرف فيه بشيخنا محمد بن رشيد العراقي الحسيني الآتي الوفاة عام ثمانية وأربعين وثلاثمائة وألف، إلى غير ذلك. كا شاعرا مجيدا، ذهب إلى مدينة الجديدة لأجل الوظيف وتوفي هناك ودفن قرب المصلّى بها
