    أحمد بن جعفر الكتاني وفي ثالث وعشري جمادى الثانية توفي أحمد بن الشيخ جعفر الكتاني الحسني. تقدمت وفاة والده عام ثلاثة وعشرين وثلاثمائة وألف. علامة مشارك مطلع كثير الإفادة والتدريس، له عدة تآليف تقرب من خمسين تاليفا، منها ديوان شعر في الأمداح النبوية سماه تنبيه الأواه بما لي في التوسل بأكرم خلق الله؛ وله فهرسة جامعة لأشياخه المشارقة والمغاربة، إلى غير ذلك من التآليف وقد ألف في ترجمته ولده الأخ محمد إبراهيم حفظه الله تاليفا سماه والدي كما عرفته. دفن بروضتهم بالقباب. انظر كتابنا سل النصال فإن له فيه ترجمة واسعة.
