    محمد بن محمد الريفي وفيه توفي محمد بن محمد بن قاسم الريفي التلمساني، من جملة كتّاب السلطان المولي الحسن. كان مستوطنا أخيرا بثغر الصويرة، وله خط حسن يكتب المصاحف والشفا والشمائل إلى غير من كتب الحديث، وكتب كثيرا للسلطان المولى الحسن المذكور. وفي آخر أيامه سجن لأمور انتقدت عليه، ثم ذهب إلى مدينة طنجة واستوطنها وتوفي هناك وترك بها أولادا.

    محمد بن محمد الريفي وفي عشية يوم الخميس تاسع عشر رجب توفي محمد-فتحا-بن محمد بن عمرو ابن سعيد الريفي الجزنائي نزيل مدينة الجديدة، العلامة المشارك المفتي النوازلي المطلع. كان كثير الإفتاء يعرف أحكام النوازل معرفة جيدة، وتولى النيابة عن قاضي الجديدة مسقط رأسه مدة، وبها توفي ودفن بأحد مزاراتها.
