    المختار بن عبد المالك الجامعي في يوم الخميس ثاني وعشرى محرم توفي محمد المختار بن عبد المالك الجامعي الوزير، من أولاد جامع القبيلة الشهيرة قرب فاس، وهو الجد الجامع للوزراء. كان وزير السلطان المولى عبد الرحمان إلى وفاته، فقيها عالما أديبا مشاركا حازما ضابطا مطلعا شهيرا. واستوزر السلطان المولى عبد الرحمان بعده الفقيه محمد بن علي الحاجي النكنافي مدة يسيره ثم أخّر عنها ورجع الوزير ابن إدريس. توفي الجامعي في هذه السنة. وكان فقيها أديبا شاعرا رأيت له عدة مقطعات في مدح باشا مدينة فاس الطيب البيّاز.
