    هدّي بن محمد العلوي وفي يوم الخميس سادس وعشري ذي الحجة توفي المهدي المدعو الشيخ سيدي هدّي بن محمد بن الزين بن العابد بن هاشم العلوي الحسني. ولد بأرفود، وكانت ولادته عام ستين ومائة وألف، له أحوال، وتذكر له كرامات، وهو مؤسس الطريقة الهدّاوية بالمغرب التي لها أتباع إلى الآن. لهم اعتقاد غريب، وسلوك عجيب، لا يتزوجون، وليس لهم مأوى خاص إلى غير ذلك. وبعد موته بقبيلة بني عروس من جبل العلم قرب ضريح المولى عبد السلام بن مشيش جعلت عليه قبة وصار يزار إلى الآن.
