    الهاشمي بن أحمد عواد وفي آخر هذه المائة توفي الهاشمي بن أحمد عواد السلاوي، من أولاد عواد المعروفين بمدينة سلا. وقفت على ظهير صادر من السلطان سيدي محمد بن عبد الله بتاريخ ربيع الثاني عام تسعة وسبعين ومائة وألف يتضمن أن المجاهد الارضي القبطان النبيل المرتضي الحاج الهاشمي بن الرايس أحمد عواد السلاوي أسند له الامر في أمور البحر وجعل له الرياسة في ذلك وفوض له وأن من خالفه في ذلك يؤدب.
