علي الجَمَل العمراني في عشية يوم السبت تاسع وعشري ربيع الأول توفي علي بن عبد الرحمان بن محمد بن علي بن إبراهيم بن عمران بن عبد الغفار بن السخن بن سليمان الحسني العمراني المعروف بالجمل الشيخ الشهير والمربي الكبير، دفن بحومة الرميلة من فاس. وهو شيخ الشيخ العربي ابن أحمد الدرقاوي الآتي الوفاة عام تسعة وثلاثين ومائتين وألف، وعليه تخرج وإليه ينتسب. توفي عن سن عالية يقرب من مائة وعشرين سنة، ودفن بحومة الرملية أمام زاوية الشيخ أبي مدين، وبنيت عليه قبة. وألف في مناقبه الشيخ العربي الدرقاوي تأليفا، وترجمته واسعة.
