(٨٢٤) مَصَاد بن عقبة، من أهل الجزيرة: روى عن زياد بن سعد، وأبي الزبير، ومحمد بن عمرو بن علقمة، وغيرهم. روى عنه المعافى بن عمران، وعمر بن أيوب الموصلي، وأبان بن سفيان، وغيرهم. ذكره ابن حِبَّان في "الثقات" وقال: "مستقيم الحديث على قِلَّتِهِ"، وقال السجزي، عن أبي عبد الله الحاكم النيسابوري: "مَصَاد بن عقبة، لم يُسْنِدْ تمام العشرة" (٣).
