(٧٥٩) ل- محمد بن علي [بن محمد] بن أحمد السمناني أبو جعفر ابن الرّحبي: اتَّهَمَهُ ابن ناصر بالكذب في حديث الناس، لا في الحديث النبوي، وله سماع من أبي الغنائم بن المأمون، وطبقته. توفي سنة (٥٣٤ هـ).ا. هـ. قلت: قال أبو سعد السمعاني: "سمعت منه، وكان صحيح السماع، وسألته عن مولده؟ فقال في اليوم التاسع من ذي الحجة من سنة ٤٥١هـ" (٢).
