(٣٧٢) هـ - شريح بن يزيد الحضرمي أبو حيوة الحمصي المؤذن المقرئ: روى عن أرطأة بن المنذر، وسعيد بن عبد العزيز، ومعان بن رفاعة، وغيرهم. وعنه ابنه حيوة، وإسحاق بن راهويه، ويزيد بن عبد ربه، وغيرهم. ذكره ابن حِبَّان في "الثقات"، وقال مطين: "مات سنة ٢٠٣ هـ".ا. هـ. باختصار. قلت: قال أبو داود السجستاني: "سمعت أحمد قيل له: شريح بن زيد؟ قال: ليس به بأس" (٢).
