    (١٨٨) هـ- حبيش بن شريح الحبشي أبو حفصة، ويقال: أبو حفص، الشامي: روى عن الأشعث بن قيس، وعبادة بن الصامت، ومعاوية. وعنه إبراهيم بن أبي عبلة، وعلي بن أبي حملة. قال دحيم: "أدرك عبادة وحفظ عنه"، [و] ذكره أبو نعيم في "الصحابة" وصَحَّحَ أنه تابعي، وذكره ابن حِبَّان في ثقات التابعين وقال: "كان من أهل القدس".ا. هـ. قلت: قال العجلي: "أبو حفصة الحبشي، شامي تابعي ثقة" (٢).
