    (٩٢) ل- إسماعيل بن عبد الملك الزئبقي [أبو إسحاق]: من شيوخ يعقوب بن سفيان. ذكرهُ في "تاريخه" وقال: "كان ثقة، إلاَّ أنهم كانوا يَعِيبُون عليه بيع الزئبق".ا. هـ. قلت: قال الحافظ الإمام المؤتمن الساجي: "كذا رأيته بضبط الشيخ الخطيب، وقد أخرجه في الزيبقي، وينبغي أن يكون الزَّنْبَقِي، لأن الزنبق: "الزمَّارة"، وتُكْنى الخمر بِأُم زنبق فيتحقق العيب ببيعه، وإلَّا فليس في بيع الزيبق عَيْبٌ". وقال أبو حاتم الرازي: "صدوق"، وذكره ابن حِبَّان في "الثقات" (٣).
