    عمر بن علي بن البذوخ، أبو جعفر، القلعي: نسبة الى قلعة بني حماد. طبيب، كان خبيرا بمعرفة الأدوية المفردة، والمركبة، وله اعتناء بعلم الحديث، معتنيا بالكتب الطبية والنظر فيها وتحقيق ما ذكره المتقدمون من صفة الامراض ومداواتها. أقام بدمشق سنينا كثيرة، وكانت له دكان يجلس فيها ويعالج من يأتي اليه. عمر طويلا وضعف عن الحركة وعمي في أواخر عمره. توفي بدمشق سنة ست أو خمس وسبعين وخمسمائة. له "حواش " على كتاب القانون لابن سينا، و"شرح الفصول" لأبقراط، أرجوزة، و "شرح " كتاب تقدمة المعرفة، ارجوزة، و"ذخيرةالألباء" في الباءة، و "لطائف الأنوار" في الطب.
