زكريا بن بكر بن احمد الغساني التاهرتي، أبو جعفر، ويعرف بابن الاشج: محدث، فاضل، من أهل تاهرت، دخل الادلس مع أبيه سنة ٣٢٦هـ فسمع من ابن أيلن وقاسم بن أصبغ. ثم رحل الى المشرق فلقي بمصر أبا الطيب المتنبي وأخذ عنه ديوان شعره رواية. قال ابن الفرضي: كان حليما طاهرا واجاز لنا جميع ما رواه، قال لي: ولدت بتاهرت سنة عشروثلاثمائة. وتوفي بقرطبة سنة ٣٩٣هـ" (١) الأغواطي ( .. - ١٢٧٤هـ / .. - ١٨٠٩م)
