سالم بن محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن حسن، زين الدين، أبو النجا، القسنطيني، ثم السكندري: فاضل، له نظم، من فقهاء المالكية، يعرف بابن العفيف كان والده (انظر ترجمته) قاضيا بالاسكندرية، وولد هو بها. أخذ عن السخاوي وغيره، وحج سنة ٨٨٨ وعاد في أول التي تليها. قال السخاوي:"سمعت أنه تولع بالنظم وتجرأ على أشياء سيما في ولاية أبيه، وعلى كل حال فهو أشبه منه" (١) العقباني (٨٠٨ - ٨٨٠هـ / ١٤٠٦ - ١٤٧٥م)
