عثمان بن سليمان الصنهاجي، الجزائري: فاضل، من فقهاء المالكية، مشارك في بعض العلوم، تعلم بتونس ومصر، ومات بالقاهرة. قال السخاوي: عن أهل الجزائر الذين بين تلمسان وتونس". وقال ابن حجر العسقلاني: "رأيته كهلا وقد شاب أكثر لحيته، وطوله إلى رأسه ذراع واحد بذراع الآدميين لا يزيد عليه شيئا مع كونه كامل الاعضاء، وهو أقصر آدمي رأيته. ذكر لي أنه صحب عبد الله بن الفخار وأبا عبد الله بن عرفة وغيرها. ولديه فضيلة ومحاضرة ".
