سعيد بن علي بن عبد الكريم (أو عبد الجليل او عبد الخالق) الحسني الجزائري، أبو عثمان: فاضل، من فقهاء المالكية، مشارك في بعض العلوم. رحل الى مصر فلازم شيخ الاسلام ابن حجر العسقلاني في الإملاء وأحيانا في غيره، وكتب فتح الباري من تصانيفه، وكان متقنا فيما يكتبه. وصفه العلامة رضوان العقبي بالسيد الشريف الكامل .. ". مات بالقاهرة. (١) الجزائري (١٢٤٠ - ١٢٨٥هـ / ١٨٢٤ - ١٨٦٨م)
