أحمد بن عبد الله بن عمر بن، عبد المعطي الجزائري، أبو العباس، عرف بابن الإمام، ونعت بالشرف: محدث، نحوي، فاضل، رحل الى المشرق وأخذعن الإمام الكبير علي بن هبة الله بن سلامة المعروف بابن الجميزي أعلى أهل زمانه اسنادا في القراءات، المتوفي سنة ٦٤٩هـ، وأقرانه، أخذ عنه ذو الوزارتين أبو عبد الله ابن الحكيم الرندي سنة ٦٨٣هـ. قال السيوطي: "وكان حسن الصورة، لطيف المزاج، بارع الخط " ولم أقف على تاريخ وفاته (١) الجزائري ( .. - نحو ١٢٠٥هـ / .. - نحو ١٧٩٠م)
