علي بن أبي القاسم عبد الرحمن، أبو الحسن، المعروف بابن أبي جنون (بين الجيم والقاف) التلمساني: قاض، من فقهاء المالكية، مشارك في كثير من العلوم، من أهل تلمسان وبها نشأ وتعلم. دخل الأندلس وروى بها عن أبي علي الصدفي وإبن أبي تليد والخولاني. وعاد، فولي القضاء بمراكش وتلمسان، قال ابن الزبير: " كان حافظا جليل القدر جوادا .. " وقال صاحب تعريف الخلف: "له تواليف كثيرة أجلها "المقتضب الأشفى في إختصار المستصفى" وهو في"المعجم" لإبن الأبار "المقتضب الأشفى من أصول المستصفى" مختصر في أصول الفقه" (١) التلمساني (القرن السابع الهجري / القرن الثالث عشر ميلادي)
