مروان بن عمار بن يحيى، أبو الحكم، البجائي: قاض، فقيه، له مشاركة في علوم اللغة والأدب، من أهل بجاية، وبها سمع من عبد الحق الإشبيلي. ثم انتقل إلى المغرب والأندلس، فسمع بفاس وسبتة وغرناطة. وأخذ عن أبي ذر الخشني كثيرا من كتب الأدب واللغة. قال ابن الأبار: وكان من الأدباء النبهاء، مشاركا في أبواب من العلم، حسن الخط، جيد الضبط. كتب للولاة، وولي قضاء المرية، ثم أخر عنه، وبلغني أنه توفي في نحو ٦١٠هـ" (٢) البجائي (٨٦٥ - حيا ٩٣٠هـ / ١٤٦١ - حيا ١٥٢٤م)
