    عمرو بن أبي عمرو، ثمانية (١): منهم: ١ - عمرو بن أبي عمرو. حدث عن عبد الله بن عباس. روى عنه إسماعيل بن أبي خالد. قال الخطيب: أنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن عبد الواحد: أنا محمد بن العباس: أنا أحمد بن سعيد بن مرابا: ثنا عباس بن محمد، قال: سمعت يحيى بن معين وسألته عن حديث يرويه الفزاري، عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد، عن عمرو بن أبي عمرو، عن ابن عباس في قوله: ﴿وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ﴾ [الشعراء:١٤٨]، فقال يحيى: عمرو بن أبي عمرو هذا هو عندي أبو إسحاق السبيعي، هو عمرو وأبوه أبو عمرو. قلت ليحيى: هو عمرو بن أبي عمرو المدني؟ قال: لا.
