    ٣ - وروح بن الفرج أبو الزِّنْبَاع القطَّان المصري. سمع: أبا صالح كاتب الليث، ويحيى بن بُكير، وسعيد بن عُفير، وأبا صالح عبد الغفار بن داود، وعمرو بن خالد، ويوسف بن عدي. روى عنه: أبو جعفر الطحاوي، والقاضي المحاملي، وكان سمع منه بمكة، وعبد الله بن أحمد بن إسحاق، وعلي بن محمد بن أحمد المصريان، وأبو العباس الأصم النيسابوري، وأبو القاسم الطبراني وغيرهم. وكان ثقة. ولد في سنة أربع ومائتين، ومات في سنة اثنتين وثمانين ومائتين.
