٤ - وجعفر بن محمد بن الحسن بن المُستفاض، أبو بكر القاضي الفريابي. سمع: هُدْبَة بن خالد، وعبد الأعلى بن حماد، وأبا كامل الجَحْدَري، وعبيد الله بن معاذ، وعلي بن المديني، ومنجاب بن الحارث، وأبا بكر، وعثمان ابني أبي شيبة، وعبد الله بن محمد النفيلي، وقتيبة بن سعيد، وإسحاق بن راهويه، وغيرهم من أهل طبقتهم. روى عنه: محمد بن مخلد، وأبو الحسين بن المُنادي، وعبد الصمد الطِّسْتي، وأحمد بن سليمان النَّجَّاد، وأبو بكر الشَّافعي، وأبو علي بن الصَّوَّاف، وأحمد بن جعفر بن مالك القَطِيعي، وخلقٌ يطول ذكرهم، وحديثه كثير ورواياته منتشرة.
