    الأحوص بن جواب، والأحوص أبو الجواب (٣). هذا رجل واحد ضبي كوفي، حدث عن: أسباط بن نصر، وعمار بن زريق، وسليمان بن قرم، وصباح المزني، وغيرهم. روى عنه: محمد بن الحسين بن إشكاب العامري، ومحمد بن إسحاقالصغاني، وإبراهيم بن محمد بن عرعرة، وعباس بن محمد الدوري، وأحمد بن يونس بن المسيب الأصبهاني. أنا أبو نعيم الحافظ: ثنا عبد الله بن جعفر بن أحمد بن فارس: ثنا أحمد بن يونس الضبي: ثنا الأحوص بن جواب، ثنا صباح المزني، عن طريف بن شهاب، عن أبي نضرة، عن أبي سعيد الخدري قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: «افتتاح الصلاة التكبير وتحليلها التسليم، وإذا ركعت فلا ترفع رأسك ولا تخفضه»] [١٤ - أ].﷽
