أحمد بن جواس، اثنان (١) أحدهما: ١ - أبو عاصم الحنفي الكوفي. سمع: أبا الأحوص سلام بن سليم، وعبد الله بن المبارك، ومحمد بن الفضل بن مهلهل.وروى عنه: محمد بن مسلم الرازي، ومحمد بن عمران الضبي، ومسلم بن الحجاج النيسابوري، وإبراهيم بن أبي بكر بن أبي شيبة، وأبو جعفر مُطَيّن الكوفيان، وغيرهم. قال الخطيب: أخبرنا ابن الفضل: أخبرنا أبو جعفر الخالدي: حدثنا محمد بن عبد الله الحضرمي: قال: مات أبو عاصم أحمد بن جواس الكوفي لثلاث خلت من المحرم سنة ثمان وثلاثين ومائتين، وكان ثقة وكان لا يخضب.
