عبد الله بن محمد بن عطاء بن حسن بن عطاء بن جبير بن جابر بن وهيب الأَذْرَعي الحنفي. سمع الحديث وتفقه على مذهب أبي حنيفة، وناب عن الشافعي ثم استقل بالقضاء أول ما ولي القضاة من كل مذهب، ولما وقعت الحوطة على أملاك الناس أراد السلطان منه أن يحكم له بما يقتضي مذهبه فغضب من ذلك وقال: هذه بأيدي أربابها وما يحل لأحد أن يتعرض لها، ونهض من مجلسه، فغضب السلطان غضباً شديداً ثم سكن غضبه وكان يثني عليه بعد ذلك، ويقول: لا تبثواكتباً إلا عنده. روى عنه ابن جماعة، وأجاز للبرزالي، ومات سنة ثلاث وسبعين وستمائة (١). ٦١٦٠ -
