زَحْم بن حِصْن الطَّائي، كنيته أبو الفَرَج (٢). يروي عن عمه وأبيه، روى عنه زكريا بن يحيى القطان، مات سنة أربع ومائتين. كذا فيه (٣) وفي خط الهيثمي وترتيبه، وذكره ابن أبي حاتم في زحر آخره راء، قال (٤): ٣٩٦٨ - زَحْر (٥) بن حِصْن. روى عن جده حميد بن منهب. روى عنه أبو السكين زكريا بن يحيى الطائي (٦). وقال الحافظ الذهبي في «الميزان» (٧):
