حَرِيز بن أحمد، أبو القاسم السَّلَمَاسي، شيخ الإسلام. سمع وحدث. قال ابن النجار: كان من أهل الفضل والنُّبْل والتَّقَدُّم، يُقال له: شيخ الإسلام (٤). ٢٧٠٢ - حَرِيز [٢] الكندي الشامي. يروي المراسيل، روى حريز بن عثمان عن عمرو بن قيس عنه (٥). وكذا قال البخاري (٦) روى عنه عمرو بن قيس الكندي الحمصي.وقال أبو حاتم (١):
