٥٣١٨- عبيد اللَّه بن شيبة بن ربيعة بن عبد شمس بن عبد مناف. أمّه الفارعة بنت حرب بن أمية. قال البلاذريّ في ترجمة شيبة: فولد شيبة عبيد اللَّه وزينب، فولد عبيد اللَّه عبد الرحمن، فولد عبد الرحمن أبان فلذلك كان يتيما عند عثمان.قلت: وشيبة قتل يوم بدر، فيكون لابنه عند وفاة النبيّ ﷺ ثمان سنين وزيادة، ولم يبق في حجة الوداع قرشيّ إلا شهدها كما تقدم غير مرة، وكأنّ ولده عبد الرحمن مات شابّا، فلذلك كان ابنه يتيما عند عثمان ﵁.
