وممن يسمى: حصين بن عبد الرحمن من رواة العلم: - حصين بن عبد الرحمن الأشجعي (¬٥): يروي عن سعد بن أبي وقاص، روى عنه أهل الكوفة، ذكره ابن حبان في جملة "الثقات" (¬٦). - وفي "كتاب الصريفيني": (حصين بن عبد الرحمن السلمي: سمع عمارة بن رويبة، روى عنه أهل العراق، مات سنة ثلاث وثلاثين ومائة، ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" (¬٧)) انتهى (¬٨)، الذي رأيت في كتاب ابن حبان: حصين بن عبد الله، والله أعلم، على أن نسخ بلادنا من كتاب "الثقات" غير منقحة، وأصلحها فيما أظن النسخة التي أنقلمنها، والله تعالى أعلم، ذكرناهم للتمييز.
