٢١٦٨ - (٤) سليمان بن داود بن داود بن علي بن عبد الله بن عباس أبو أيوب الهاشمي سكن بغداد. صحح الترمذي، والطوسي، والحاكم حديثه. وقال العجلي: كتبت عنه وكان عاقلا. وذكره ابن خلفون في «الثقات». وزعم المزي أن ابن سعد (والمطيري) وابن أبي خيثمة قالوا: توفي سنة تسع عشرة قال: وقال أبو حسان: سنة عشرين مفهما أنه تفرد بهذا، وليسكذلك، بل قاله جماعة غيره منهم: ابن أبي عاصم ويعقوب الفسوي. وقال الحاكم أبو عبد الله: هو أحد أئمة الحديث بالعراق. وقال ابن حزم: كان أحد الأئمة ومن نظراء أحمد بن حنبل.
