١٧٢٠ - (م س ق) زياد بن رياح، ويقال: رباح، أبو رياح القيسي. ويقال: أبو قيس المدني البصري. روى عنه: الحسن، وروى عن: أبي هريرة. كذا ذكره المزي. وفي «تاريخ البخاري»، فرق بينهما، فقال: [ق ٤٥ / أ] في الأول: زياد بن رياح أبو قيس روى عنه الحسن، وقال محمد بن يوسف، عن يونس بن عبيد، عن غيلان، عن زياد بن مطر، عن أبي هريرة. ثم قال: زياد بن رياح أبو رياح سمع الحسن قوله، قاله داود بن رشيد، عن حكام، وهو الهذلي.وذكره ابن خلفون في «الثقات» وقال: قيل فيه: ابن مطر، ورياح أشهر. وخرج البستي حديثه في «صحيحه». ولهم شيخ آخر يقال له:
