    ٧٨٨٢- مرارة بن الربيع الأنصاري الأوسيّ «٢» : من بني عمرو بن عوف، ويقال: إن أصله من قضاعة، حالف بني عمرو بن عوف. صحابي مشهور، شهد بدرا على الصحيح، هو أحد الثلاثة الذين تيب عليهم، أخرجاه في الصحيحين من حديث كعب بن مالك في قصة توبته، فقلت: هل لقي أحد مثل ما لقيت؟ قالوا: هلال بن أميّة، ومرارة بن الربيع، فذكروا لي رجلين صالحين شهدا بدرا. وفي حديث جابر عند قوله تعالى: وَعَلَى الثَّلاثَةِ الَّذِينَ خُلِّفُوا [التوبة: ١١٨] قال: هم كعب بن مالك، ومرارة بن الربيع، وهلال بن أمية، وكلّهم من الأنصار.
