    ٧٧٥١ - المسيب بن عبد الرحمن، تابعي كبير، شهد القادسية. قال البخاري: حديثُه منكر. عبد اللّه بن عثمان البصري، عن المسيب بن عبد الرحمن -وكان ممن شهد القادسية- قال: أتيت حذيفة ﵁ فأقبل يحدّثنا بوقائع رسول الله ﷺ وقال: لما تهيَّأ عليّ يوم خَيْبر للحَمْلة قال رسول اللّه ﷺ: "يا علي بأبي أنت، والذي نفسي بيده، إن معك من لا يخذُلك، هذا جبريل عن يمينك، بيده سيفٌ لو ضرب به الجبال لقطعها،فاستَبْشِر بالرِّضوان والجنة، يا علي إنك سيد العرب، وأنا سيد ولد آدم … الحديث [بطوله] (¬١).
