٧٠٥٩ - ز- محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن محمد، أبو طاهر الأَشْتَري، روى عن الحسين بن إبراهيم المَعَافِري خبرًا منكرًا. وعنه السِّلفي في "معجمه". قاله ابن النجار في "تاريخه". ثم قال بعد تراجم: محمد بن عبد الرحمن، أبو حامد الأشتري، أحدُ المتكلّمين على مذهب الأشعري، صنَّف "أرجوزة" في الرد على المشبِّهة، وحدَّث بها سنة ست وخمس مئة.قال ابن النجار: وقد رأيت فيها عَجَبًا، وذلك أنه أنكر الأحاديث الصحيحة، وطَعَن على ناقليها، وقال: هذه أحاديثُ باطلة، ونَقَلَتُها كَذَبة، فلا أدري إلى ماذا ذهب في ذلك! … إلى أن قال: ولا أدري أهو الذي ذكرنا أن السِّلَفي روى عنه، أو غيره؟!
