    ٦٣٧٠ - محمد بن أحمد بن حمدان، أبو عَمْرو، محدِّث نيسابور، زاهد ثقة. رحل إلى الحسن بن سفيان، وأبي يعلى. قال ابن طاهر: كان يتشيع.قلت: ما كان الرجل ولله الحمد غاليًا في ذلك، وقد أثنى عليه غيرُ واحد، انتهى. قال الحاكم: كان من القراء المجتهدين والنحاة، وله السَّماعات الصحيحة والأصول المتقَنَة، توفي في ذي القعدة سنة ست وسبعين وثلاث مئة (¬١)، وهو ابن ثلاث أو أربع وتسعين سنة.
